The purpose of the "Connections" program is to promote awareness of and opportunities through LOMO to ELCA Congregations.
The goal is to have increased participation from each congregation with LOMO.
This is your invitation to become a LOMO Connector.
The Connector's purpose is to connect LOMO with several Congregations!
The ideal Connector candidate will:
= Have a passion for Lutheran Outdoor Ministries
= Have a willingness to learn about all LOMO programs
= Be comfortable communicating with individuals
= Have access to the internet and e-mail
= Commit to a two year renewable term of service
The Connector responsibilities include:
= Participate in an annual training event
= Receive communications from LOMO 6-12 times a year
= Identify several congregations you are willing to be a Connector with
= Initially contact each congregation's pastor and secretary/administrative
assistant to inform them of the LOMO Connectors purpose and
ask them for suggestions for a key linkage person in their congregation
= Recruit a LOMO Link for each congregation you will be connecting with
= Work with each congregation's LOMO Link to develop a strategy to
increase participation from their congregation with LOMO
= Have one annual face to face visit with each congregation's LOMO Link
= Through-out the year, contact the LOMO Link via e-mail or telephone to
affirm that they received the LOMO promotional information and ask if they have any questions
= Communicate information from the congregation back to LOMO
The Link's purpose is to connect LOMO within your own congregation.
The ideal Link candidate will:
= Have a passion for Lutheran Outdoor Ministries
= Have a willingness to learn about all LOMO programs
= Be responsible so that communications from LOMO are shared appropriately in your congregation
= Have access to the internet and e-mail
= Commit to a two year renewable term of service
The Link responsibilities include:
= Work with a LOMO Connector to develop a strategy for your congregation to increase participation in LOMO programs
= Insure promotional materials are channeled properly in your congregation - when LOMO sends information to
congregations, the Connector will inform the LOMO Link what information has been sent
= Have one annual face to face visit with a LOMO Connector and remain in communication throughout the year via email
and/or the telephone
= Be a conduit for questions and feedback from your congregation to the LOMO Connector
